About the event
Join award winning author Bob Plott as he discusses his first of six books and conducts a program reviewing the history of the Plott hound breed – the official state dog of North Carolina. It is a story and breed like no other, a tale of classic Americana telling the stories of not only the history of the breed, but the colorful family members and friends who helped perpetuate their legacy – and still do today.
It is a story that Bob Plott – a third great grandson of Plott family patriarch George Plott, who is credited with first bringing the dogs to America in about 1750 – is uniquely qualified to tell. Join Bob as he shares this history and funny and poignant stories of his family and their dogs. Admission is free and a book signing and question and answer session will follow the program.
